Product Branding

 

Having recognised a niche in the market, our innovation has been to develop a family hobby into a thriving and important element of our business. Our innovative product grew from a need to produce fresh food for our young family and an interest in growing unusual and tasty leaves. Finding ourselves with surplus leaves, it was decided to bag, label and sell them to a local shop. A local wholesaler distributed samples direct to hotels and restaurants in the area. The initial feedback from our market testing was very positive and gave us confidence to make direct sales approaches to a wide range of restaurants and hotels in the local area.

 

As part of the development of our innovative product, we have been keen to develop a brand.

Initial trials were marketed under the name of the farm, “Proncy Mill Produce” a superior mix of unusual and tasty salad leaves and herbs,

which later became “Mill Farm Produce” a superior mix of unusual and tasty salad leaves and herbs.

 

However, recent business developments gave us confidence to develop a full brand identity for the product. It was important to retain the name of the farm in the brand name and to capture the essence of what we are producing. Working with a marketing and design team who understood the market for our product, this became:-

Highland grown salad + herbs

 

 

All our products are now sold under this brand name. The rest is history as they say!
